Year 3- Hedgehogs
Welcome to Hedgehog Class where we know how important it is to work hard, try our best and persevere. We also know the importance of fun and working together to make learning interesting.
In Hedgehog Class you will find Miss Dellar, Miss Holmes and Mrs Sidwell; along with 29 little Hoglets. Whilst in Hedgehog Class we will aim to encourage independent learning, utilise and build on prior learning and understanding as well as making links between the subjects were are learning about.
We have started the year with our Heroes and Villains topic where we have looked at Cruella de Vil and Bonnie and Clyde as well as some personal heroes of our own. Our future topics include; ‘Tremors’ where we will be learning about volcanoes and earthquakes, ‘Gods and mortals’ where we will be learning about Greek Myths, ‘Predator’ where we will be learning about food chains and fossils. During our ‘Mighty Metals’ topic we will be learning about forces and magnets and our final topic is ‘Flow’ during this topic we will be learning about rivers and the water cycle.
It’s going to be an exciting year in Hedgehogs this year as we progress through all of our new topics and move into Key Stage 2.
Here are some of the things Hedgehogs have said about being in Year 3.
