EnglishWALT – recognise and describe syllables. 

Have another look at the poem ‘Spring Greens’. Today we are looking at syllables. Have a go at clapping or patting out the poem to show the syllables (There is an example on the sheet today. Have a go at performing this poem showing the syllables. We would love to see a video of it once you have done.

Topic-History - Sir Francis Beaufort - WALT -find out about famous people from the past.

 

Sir Francis Beaufort invented the Beaufort Scale a way for people to measure the force of the wind. Can you make a poster to explain the Beaufort scale?

 

Topic – Art   WALT – create a piece of art work

People like to watch the clouds go by! Sometimes people look at the clouds and think that they can see things in them. Could you create a cloud picture with a hidden object in so your teacher can guess what you have hidden in your picture.  You could try to use the shapes of certain clouds. Look at the sheet below for more details on this.

 

Another artist who works with clouds is Berndnaut Smilde’s moving cloud installations. Have a look at some his images on a web search and speak about them with an adult.
