Year 6

Welcome back Year 6!

Despite the slightly strange start to the year and Term 3, Year 6 would like to wish you and your families a Happy New Year. We look forward to welcoming you back into class as soon as we can but for now your learning will take place from home.

Mrs Farnes, Ms Hutchison, Mrs Linton and Mr Smith will be working together every day putting lessons together for you to complete at home. Below you will find a timetable of lessons for the week just like we would normally have in class. This will follow the same pattern for the next 2 weeks.

We will upload each day’s work onto the school website (found under the Year Group Star underneath) the night before so it is already to go for the following day. You will be able to find the tasks, information and instructions on what to do and any resources that you may need including worksheets for visual support, word mats, PDFs of power points, internet links and where possible the answers so parents/carers can support and check work when it is finished. We are going to try our hardest to make sure that there is nothing that needs printing.

We would love to see the learning that has been done so once it has been completed please take a picture of it and upload to our class page on Class Dojo (link for this download can be found on the school website within the home learning information) or send it to your teacher on purple mash.

Some of the reading and GPS tasks will be set through Purple Mash. If you cannot remember your logins the school office will have these.

We all will be available for communication on Purple Mash and Class Dojo between 10:00 – 10:30 in the morning and 2:00 – 2:30 in the afternoon.

Stay safe

Mrs Linton, Mrs Farnes, Ms Hutchison and Mr Smith
