English:  WALT – understand the meaning of a poem

Read the poem ‘Wind’ and talk about the structure and similarities to last weeks. Talk about how it makes them feel and what the wind is like. Look carefully at the pictures and write some speech and thought bubbles for the people. Can you draw your own experience of a windy day?

Maths:      Today we would like you to watch the video  Spring1.2.1 - Add by counting on activity on Vimeo The video is all about counting on. We would like you to play a game with someone at home. You will need some cards 1-20 and a dice. Choose a card then roll the dice count on and find the final number.

 

Curly’s Farm: WALT – Understand what animals produce

Even though we are not at the farm we can still do some learning linked to what we have been learning on our days there. This week we would like you to think about what we get from the animal. We have spent time with the chickens, cows, sheep and pigs – Do you know what they give us? Draw a picture of the animal and add some labels. Have a look at this example below to get you started.
