Collective Worship: Can you solve this riddle?

 

What Am I?

I can be sparkling but I’m not a star
I can run but I don’t have any legs
I can fall but I don’t get hurt
I’m found in a bath but I’m not a rubber duck
I can help you clean but I’m not soap.

 

English – Today we are going to be recreating the picture from the first page using a different character. We are going to have a look at 4 people who have interesting and important jobs (both fictional and real life) and why they were important.

Reading:   Log in to Collins e-books and read on of the selected book. Try and have a go at the activity section.

 

Handwriting: Log in to Letter-join and practice the capital letters a (A), b (B), c (C), d (D) and e (E) Practice worksheet

 

Phonics: Please spend some time on phonics hero www.phonicshero.com. Watch Lesson 8 - ie field - YouTube where we will look at the alternative for ‘ie’.

 

Maths – WALT: compare lengths.

What is the longest thing you have in your house? What is the shortest thing you have? Can you compare the length of different items and sort them into the longest and the shortest?

Jigsaw:   WALT: understand the difference between healthy and unhealthy and know some ways to keep healthy.

Can you decide whether the statements are healthy or unhealthy? Discuss with an adult what you think. Can you then tell me what the pictures represent?
