Here are your activities for today – Monday 8th February 2021.
Phonics: Logon to Phonics hero https://phonicshero.com/ and complete the next activity. Today we will change nouns ending in the letter e to plurals. What happens when we change these words to plurals?
house - houses
horse – horses
piece -pieces
We only add an S because there is already an e at the end. Change these words to plurals –space, course, spice, lace. Write an imaginary Christmas/birthday present list using plurals.
Handwriting: Login to Letter-join www.letterjoin.co.uk. Revisit correct orientation of letter b,h,k,m,p and r using the animations. Trace the letters using the ‘try facility’. Practise writing the letters on Letter-joins small worksheet for One Armed Robots. Check you are holding your pencil correctly. See PDF for Worksheet.
GPS: Adding ing, ed, er, est and y to words ending in one syllable ending in a single consonant after a single vowel. What happens to these words when endings are added?
Pat - patted – patting

The consonant is doubled.
