Today’s Activities

Today begins with English activities, followed by Maths and Topic in the afternoon. This is our last home learning session and we look forward to seeing you all next week on Monday. You should all be very proud of all the hard work that you have completed since January. We are very proud teachers indeed!

 

GPS                                                                                    

You will be completing a spelling quiz today! Log on to Purple Mash and complete the 2Do Y4 Spelling Quiz 0503​. Can you spell all 10 words correctly? Don't forget to double the final consonant!                                                                                     

 

Reading Activity

Today you will be reading a non-fiction text about cats in ancient Egyptian times. Writing Activity

Yesterday you began to write a poem about what the Old man dreamed about. Today you will finish the poem by explaining what the Old Man sees and how he feels when he wakes up from his dream.  Please watch the Friday Video PPt Writing Lesson 5.

Topic  (Geography)                                                                     

On Tuesday, you were introduced to Rosie the Raindrop and her journey downstream. Today, you will be writing a description of what Rosie would be able to see/hear/experience at 6 different points along the course of the river. Remind yourselves about Rosie Raindrop's journey by looking at 050321.year4.topic2 and then complete 050321.year4.topic2writingframe. 

 

Challenge: include these key words, 'source, 'river channel', 'confluence' and 'mouth'.
