Year 4  Daily Activities  Week 1  Wednesday 6th January

Good morning Turtles, Frogs and Deers. Here is our home learning for today. Please remember to ask your adult to take photographs of your completed work and upload it to Class Dojo so that we see what you have done.

GPS: Today you will be looking at expanded noun phrases. Expanded noun phrases add more information to the noun in a sentence, e.g. The car drove down a lane can be improved to - The red sports car drove down the long, winding road.  Choose a level appropriate to you.  1* is the easiest to 3* being the most difficult.

Reading Activity:  Yesterday you read about the Anglo-Saxons invading and settling in parts of Britain. Today you will read about the Viking invaders and answer some questions about them (see information below).

Writing ActivityWrite a letter answering an advertisement from Professor Brownstone. This activity will be split between today and tomorrow. Today we will focus on reading the advertisement, thinking about what you should include in a reply and writing a plan. Then in tomorrow’s lesson you will use your plan to write your own letter. (see information below)
