Session 1 - Phonics

We are going to continue learning Phase 3 sounds which are all digraphs, two letters making one sound or a trigraph, three letters making one sound.

Session 2 – English

We have a new book this week but we start by just looking at a picture. Look at the family picture from the book. What can we learn? Do you think she is a similar age to you? Who do you think the lady and man are? How do you think they are feeling? Do they look happy?

Look at the picture of Dad swinging Atrid around the kitchen. How do you think they are feeling? Can you think of a time you have had fun with somebody from your family? What did you do? How did it make you feel? Watch the video too...

Session 3 -  Maths - Composition of numbers to 5

This week we are going to be thinking about numbers to 5. Watch the video of Mrs Leigh finding out about the number 5. Can you count groups of things around your house to 5? Can you make a group of 5 from 2 different piece of fruit or 2 different coins?

Activity

Find a bucket, pot or another container and 5 things to throw into your container? How many land in the container? How many outside the container?

Letter Formation

A new family of letters this week. Watch the video for the formation of the letter ‘j’. Watch the video and practice. Remember to add the smiley face to your best formation.
