Wednesday 3rd February 2021

Here are your activities for today – Wednesday 3rd February 2021.

Phonics:  Logon to Phonics hero https://phonicshero.com/ and complete the next activity.

Today we will continue to look at singular and plural nouns.  So far, we have learnt that most singular nouns form the plural by adding S for example boat - boats.  However, this is not always the case. Let us have a look at what happens to words that end in ch/sh/tch.

one dish - two dishes

one match - two matches

What did you notice? We add in es to words ending in ch/sh/tch. Change these words from singular to plural -  pitch, church, brush.

Handwriting: Practice the high frequency words on Letter-join, click on resources, KS1, High frequency word, you are working on page 2 or see PDF.  Can you write them in a sentence?

PHSE: - Challenge setting and problem solving.

This is your second and last lesson on creating a ‘Garden of Dreams and Goals’ for the end of this Puzzle.  Your challenge is to make some imaginary birds or creatures for ‘Our Garden of Dreams and Goals’.  Last week you should have decided on what materials to use so you can construct your dream bird and thought about the colours and shapes you might use. Remember this a garden of dreams and goals so use your imagination. It is a happy, safe garden with nothing scary in it. Use this lesson to make your bird. Once you have finished your bird or creature upload it to Dojo.
