Here are your activities for today – Friday 22nd January

 

Phonics:  Log on to Phonics hero https://phonicshero.com/ and complete the next activity. All this week we have been looking at the alternative spelling of the oo sound.  ue, u_e, ew. Complete the read and roll activity on the PDF.

 

GPS:  Our spelling words this week are - every, everyone, everybody, blue, blew. Write silly sentences using your spelling words. For example – My dog wears a blue shower cap when we go for a walk. 

 

Guided Reading: Logon to Purple Mash and read Chapter four of ‘Magic in the Moonlight’ Complete the 2do.

 

English: Today you will be responding to the text. See video.  You can listen to the story here:

 

Maths: Follow the video and complete the equal groups activities. There is also a PDF of further questions to consolidate the weeks learning. Watch :  Talking about music and songs - BBC Bitesize  Discover that music is made of lots of different elements that make up how it sounds. These features can be described using key words like loud and quiethigh and lowfast and slowlong and shortListen to and research different types of music, such as rock, pop, reggae, opera and hip hop.

 

Write down any similarities and differences between the different types. Think about activities best suited to their tempo and style. Make class playlist of appropriate music for use during the school day such as music for tidying up, lining up or playtime.
