Session 1 - Phonics

We are going to continue learning Phase 3 sounds which are all digraphs, two letters making one sound or a trigraph, three letters making one sound. Mrs Holmes is back with a video to help you segment and blend to build words using the ‘th’ and ‘ng’ digraphs. She then includes the ‘ch’ and ‘sh’ digraphs too. Join in to show your teachers how clever you are.

Session 2 – English

Watch the video of Mrs Holmes creating a role on the wall. Use the picture of Astrid. Can we create a role on the wall of what we have learned so far? What does she look like? Describe her appearance. Label Astrid. Now think about what she likes- space, time with her family, fun with her dad, she has lots of space toys. Now write these things down too.

Session 3 -  Maths - Number Hunt

Numbers are all around us. Where might we see numbers?

Activity

Can you find all the numbers to 5 on thing in your house or out on a walk? You might find them on a clock or a remote control in the house or on road signs and posters out and about.

Challenge

What other numbers can you see around your house or out on a walk?

Session 4- RE

Watch the video of Mrs Leigh trying to build a tower. What happens if we give up easily and don’t keep trying? Sometimes there are things that we may not be good at and we want to get better at. Think of something you would like to get better at? See attached PowerPoint

Session 5 Letter Formation

Today Mrs Holmes shows you how to form the letter ‘w’ correctly. Watch the video and practice. Remember to add the smiley face to your best formation.

Extra Fun Golden Time!

Play your favourite game or take part in your favourite activity! We cannot wait to see what you choose!

Story time

Today’s story is Don't Wake the Bear Hare by Steve Smallman; read by Mrs Johnson-Oakenfull. How many stories will you share this week? We would love to see a list or a photo of the books you have enjoyed.
