Year 4  Daily Activities            Week 1     Monday 22nd February

Good morning Year 4 and welcome to the start of a new term. We all hope that you’ve had an amazing half term holiday and that you are all ready for the start of a new term. This term we start a new topic- Misty Mountains, Winding Rivers. You will be learning about the characteristics of rivers including how they shape the landscape over time, and their significance around the world. You will learn how to use the eight points of a compass, grid references, symbols and a key to locate and plot geographical places and features on a map, as well as how contour lines are used to show the topography of an area. You will study the stages of the water cycle and learn about mountains and their formations, studying mountain ranges in the United Kingdom and around the world. It all sounds super exciting.
