Here are your activities for today – Monday 1st March 2021.

 

Phonics:  Logon to Phonics hero https://phonicshero.com/ and complete the next activity. Read these words – yesterday, last week, last month, when I was a baby. These words all refer to the past.  Can you use them in a sentence? For example:

 

Yesterday I went for a walk.

Last month it was my birthday.

 

Handwriting:  Login to Letter-join www.letterjoin.co.uk. Revisit correct orientation of letters a, c, d, e, h, I, m, n and z using the animations.  Trace the letters using the ‘try facility’. Practise diagonal joins with Letter-joins practice worksheet. See PDF for Worksheet.

 

GPS: Recap syllables. Clap the syllables to the word – treasure. Write down the word and draw a box around each syllable. Do the same for the word usual.

 

Our spelling words this week are- new, our, shouted, treasure, usual

 

Guided Reading: Logon to Purple Mash and read Chapter one of ‘A Little Act of Kindness’ Complete the joining words activity set as a 2do.

 

English: WALT: recite a poem using appropriate intonation to convey meaning. Watch the video for your lesson. Follow this link to watch the story ‘we’re going on a bear hunt’.
