Year 4  Daily Activities.            Week 1     Thursday 7th January

 

Good morning Turtles, Frogs and Deers. Here are our home learning tasks for today. You will need to access Purple Mash today and tomorrow for your reading activity. If you do not know your log in details please ask you adult to ring the school as they have all of your log in details for Purple Mash.

 

GPS (Spelling Activity) : This week we will be focusing on spelling words that  begin with the prefix ‘in’. Please work through the power point and then complete the spelling activity. Parents, please note that that answers to the spelling activity are on the 2nd page of the document.    (see documents below)

 

Reading Activity: Purple Mash 2Do ActivityRead Chapter 1 of ‘Look into my eyes’ and then answer the quiz questions. This has been set as a 2Do on Purple Mash.  

                     

Writing Activity: Today you will be writing your letter to Professor Brownstone. You will use your bullet point notes in your plan from yesterday to help you write your amazing letter.  Remember to use first ( I, we, my, mine etc). (see document below)

         

Maths: Daily times tables warm up.  Spend 5-10 minutes learning your tables. You can choose from any of these websites to practice - Purple Mash Monster Multiplication, Times Tables Rockstars and Hit the Button Hit the Button - Quick fire maths practice for 5-11 year olds (topmarks.co.uk)

 

Divide and multiply by 7. Read through the Input and then do the activity (see documents below)

 

Topic Lessons 3 & 4The Science topic this term is SOUND. In today’s lessons you will ask and answer questions about how sounds can be heard. Read through the Science Input and then complete the Science Sheet and become a sound detective! (see  attachments below)
