SPAG

We will be continuing to look at words ending in -cial and -tial today. If you did not discover this last week, ‘-cial’ endings are common after a vowel letter and ‘-tial’ endings are common after a consonant letter. Exceptions: initial, financial, provincial.

Write sentences using the following words: social, official, essential, substantial, confidential, influential, artificial and partial.

Reading

Read Chapter 3 of ‘The time-lock adventure’ and then answer the multiple choice questions. Have a go at the ‘Challenge questions’ – see resources below.

English

We will be continuing our work on our text ‘Journey to the river sea’. Today you will be identifying the sights and sounds within the text. You will be thinking about adjectives and descriptive language. See the video PowerPoint here where one of the Year 6 teachers will talk you through the lesson.

  • Have fun!
