Session 1 - Phonics

We are going to continue learning Phase 3 sounds which are all digraphs, two letters making one sound or a trigraph, three letters making one sound. Mrs Holmes is back with a video to help you segment and blend to build words using the ‘ai’ and ‘ee’ digraphs.  Join in to show your teachers how clever you are.

Session 2 – English

Watch the video of Mrs Holmes reading a little bit more of Astro Girl. Astid’s dad tells her lots of things she will have to do if she wants to be an astronaut and Astrid says she can do all of them, mostly all day long. She really, really wants to be an astronaut. What would you like to be when you are older? Talk to your grown up and write a sentence about what you would like to be when you are older.

Do you want to be a footballer because you love playing football? Do you want to be a chef because you love cooking? Do you want to be a gardener because you like flowers and being outside? Do you want to have the same job as Mummy or Daddy?

Session 3 -  Maths - Hiding

Watch the video of Mrs Leigh finding hiding some objects then finding out how many are there altogether. If we know how many objects if have altogether but some are hiding how can we find out how many are hiding?

Activity

Get some teddies, toys or other objects and something you can hid some in like a bag or box. Hide some of your teddies, toys or objects. How many do you have altogether?

Challenge

Can you use a 5 frame to show me how many teddies, toys or objects you can see and how many are hiding?

Session 4- PSHE - Obstacles and support

Watch the video of Mrs Leigh trying to make some cakes. How do you feel about the unkind things said?  How do you think it made Mrs Leigh feel? Why is it kind to say nice things? Can you say something nice about your friends in Pebble class? See attached PowerPoint
