Home learning – Tuesday 5th January
English – Have a look at the pages attached from “Out and About” by Shirley Hughes. How do they make you feel, what are they talking about, what are the children doing? Have a go at playing in some water with your hands and talk about how you feel, what you are doing etc. If you can, see if you can play in some mud or sand just like the poems. See if your adult can take some pictures of you having a go.
Phonics - Please spend some time on phonics hero www.phonicshero.com. Remember to check Purple Mash for some 2Do’s.
RIC – Decode the words and put the phonic sound buttons underneath the letters. Read the text. Talk about the section of the story and answer the questions.
Maths – Watch the video about ordering objects https://vimeo.com/483169674 and then do the worksheet we have put on class Dojo.
Topic – Identify seasonal and weather changes in the UK – Discuss what weather is and try and name the different types. Talk about how we know what the weather is going to be like and if it was the same as yesterday. Watch a weather forecast and look at the symbols used. Complete a simple weather diary for the week and add a symbol to show what the weather is like.
Topic – Exploring changes across the seasons – What season are we in now? How do you know? What clues can you see? Can you draw what you would wear if the weather is: Sunny, raining and snowing.
