Session 1 - Phonics

We are going to continue learning Phase 3 sounds which are all digraphs, two letters making one sound or a trigraph, three letters making one sound. Today we are going to segment and blend to build words with the ch and sh digraphs. Watch and join in with Mrs Holmes in her video.

Session 2 – English

Did you answer your owl questions? Did you find out what you wanted to know about owls?

Now let’s write a sentence about what we found out. Watch the video of Mrs Holmes writing a sentence about her findings. Remember to use your phonics charts to help.

Session 3 -  Maths - Shape hunt

We have found out about 3 different shapes this week – Can you remember the names of them? Can you find any? Can you remember how to draw them? Can you tell someone about them? – What do they look like?

Activity

Go on a shape hunt. Where do you see circles, triangles and shapes with 4 sides? Draw a map of your journey.

Session 4 - PSHE - Never Giving Up

Read or watch Mrs Leigh reading the tortoise and the hare. The tortoise and the hare in that story kept on going and didn’t give up. What have you done that you have got better at with practice? What will you work on as you grow up to get better at? See the PowerPoint.

Session 5 - Letter Formation

Today Mrs Holmes shows you how to form the letter ‘g’ correctly. Watch the video and practice. Remember to add the smiley face to your best formation.
