Session 1 - Phonics

We are going to continue learning Phase 3 sounds which are all digraphs, two letters making one sound or a trigraph, three letters making one sound. Click here for Letters and Sounds video for learning the new digraph ‘ee’

Session 2 – English

Watch the video of Mrs Holmes sharing her space research and fun facts. She also records the answers to what she wanted to find out about space. Now you record the answers to the questions you wanted to found out about space. Remember to start your sentence with a capital letter, remember finger spaces between each word and a full stop at the end. Remember to listen for the sounds you can hear in each word and use the phonics charts to help your form the letters.

Session 3 -  Maths Counting down songs

Watch the video and join in with Mrs Leigh doing some counting rhymes and songs.

Activity

Look at the men in flying saucers rhyme. Can you count how many space men are left each time 1 flies away? What happens each time a space man flies away?

Challenge

Can you use some teddies of objects in your house to act out a counting song?

Session 4 - Topic - The Stars

Talk to the children about the stars we see at night time. Can you describe the stars? What do they look like? Can you see any patterns in them? Are they all the same?

Activity

Make a star picture. You could use pens and pencils, chalk, paint or anything else.

Session 5 Letter Formation
