It’s World Book Day! Take a look at Class Dojo to listen to your teacher share their favourite book and to view some exciting activities. Can you challenge your family to a World Book Day quiz? What’s your favourite story? Share your thoughts on Class Dojo! Here is an outline of the work we would like you to complete today.
Phonics
Practice spelling words containing the phonemes sh and th. Segment and blend each word to sound out correctly. This is set as a 2Do on Purple Mash.

Reading
Read Chapter 5 and 6 of A Sheep Dip to India. Getting into the temple is one thing; tracking down the envelope is another. It takes a piece of Chetna's genius to discover the destination and then the race to escape is on! Test your understanding of both chapters by complete the 2Do Quiz.
English
Begin by accessing this video to listen to Chapters 15, 16 and 17. Discuss Corky’s encounter with Krindlekrax in the sewers. What would you like to ask Corky about his adventure and experience? Write a list of questions using a range of sentence starters. Watch this video to help explain today’s learning.
Maths
Begin by working out the four challenges in the maths starter. Don’t forget to show your working out! Then move on to Fluency, Reasoning and Problem Solving.

Today we are going to explore the part that flowers play in the life cycle of flowering plants. Look at the resource sheet below to find out about pollination and the different parts of a flower. Create a comic strip that shows each part of this process. Include drawings and captains to explain each event.
