SPAG

Today you will need to complete an activity which involves using causal conjunctions. The instructions and cards needed for the activity are attached below.

 

Reading

Read chapter 5 of Pit boys. Answer the multiple choice and open-ended questions.

 

English

Today you have the chance to finish writing up your work on the Workhouse. If you haven’t started this work yet, please refer to yesterday’s video PowerPoint.

 

Remember to edit and improve your work. Can you tick everything on the checklist?

 

  • Headings
  • Paragraphs
  • Key words spelt correctly
  • Ambitious vocabulary
  • A range of punctuation
  • Examples of coordinating, subordinating or correlative conjunctions (From SPAG lessons this week)
  • Ways to engage your reader (e.g. tables, boxes around facts, photographs, drawings)

 

Don’t forget to upload your work to your portfolio, we’d love to share some of your publications with the rest of Year 6.
