Year 4 Daily Activities Week 4 Monday 25th January
Welcome to today’s learning fun. I hope that you all had a relaxing weekend with your families. Today begins with English activities, followed by Maths, P.E. and finally R.E.
We are going to practise apostrophes for possession (when a thing belongs to something) today. Please collect some different objects from around your house, making sure that they belong to different people.
Hold the object up and say who it belongs to. For example:
It's Mum's purse.
It's Oscar's toy dragon.
Then write this down on paper as a sentence. Once you have written the sentence, check that your apostrophes are in the correct place. Please write sentences for at least 6 objects.
Today you will reading a Viking new paper report. You have 2 options today, you can either read and answer questions about Viking Newspaper Report or the more challenging Viking Longship Newspaper Report.
In today’s writing lesson we first read the story so far and then read on a few pages further. We will discover what the townsfolk thought about the situation and who they blamed. Then you will write down how Arthur feels about the situation. Watch the video here.
Maths Today’s lesson is all about area and what it is. Watch this which explains how to find area easily and then have a go at the below. Complete as many questions as you can, but please don’t worry if there are ones you are not sure of.

This week we are going to be thinking about how a modern Christian tries to create a world Jesus would want. We will be looking at Reverend Jeff and how he supports his community in a normal week (pre-Covid). Have a look at his community notice board and his usual diary and answer the questions on the sheet. RE Year 4 Lesson
