Session 1 - Phonics We are going to continue learning Phase 3 sounds which are all digraphs, two letters making one sound or a trigraph, three letters making one sound. Click here for the Letters and Sounds video for segmenting and blending to read words with the digraph ‘ai’.
Session 2 – English We are continuing looking at our new book. Today we are looking at another picture from the book. What can you see? What do you think you know about this picture? It is a picture of space, probably what Astrid can see through her telescope. What do you know about space? Tell your grown up. Can you write a sentence about what you know about space?
Now think about what you would like to know about space and tell your grown up. Can you write one or two questions that you would like to find out the answer to?
Session 3 - Maths - Counting up songs Watch the video and join in with Mrs Leigh doing some counting rhymes and songs. Look at the elephant rhyme. Can you count the elephants each time a new elephant arrive? Do you know any other counting songs?
Activity Look at the elephant rhyme. Can you count the elephants each time a new elephant arrives? Challenge Can you use some teddies of objects in your house to act out a counting song?
Session 4 - PE For your PE this week have a look t the Go Noodle website. You can log in for free. This is my favourite Go Noodle song and dance. Which is your favourite?
Session 5 Letter Formation Please logon to letter-join and work on the letters ‘i, l and t’ at www.letter-join.co.uk

Once you log-in to letter-join please click the blue easy letters. From here you will be shown sets of letters. Please click on the set showing ‘i, l and t’. You can then click on the letter you want to work on. From here you can print a sheet of letters for handwriting practice, have a go by using a finger to trace over the letter (if accessing on an iPad) and watch how the letter should be formed correctly.
Extra Fun Lids Find a selection of bottles and jar at home (milk bottles, drink bottles, jars – anything with a screw top lid) Can you unscrew the lid and put it back on? How many times can you do this in a minute?
