Session 1 - Phonics

Mrs Holmes recaps all phase 3 phonemes learned so far. Help her to segment and blend to read and record words. Remember to add the sound buttons to help.

Watch the video of Mrs Holmes recapping Charlie’s letter and sharing some ideas for helping Lola try more different foods. Write a reply to Charlie with ideas for helping Lola try different foods.

Session 3 -  Maths - Comparing number to 10

Watch the video of Mrs Leigh comparing number on a number line to 10 and talking about fewer and greater.

Activity

Grab a handful of objects – How many do you have? Ask you adult to grab some objects too. Do they have more or fewer than you?

Challenge

How many apples can you hold in your hand? How many grapes can you hold in your hand?

Session 4 - Topic

Our Term 4 Topic is ‘Are carrots orange?’

Fruit Kebabs

Choose your favourite fruits to make fruit kebabs. Chop your fruit into chunks and then place on a wooden skewer to create a fruit kebab. Which fruits did you choose. Now tell me how you made your kebab. Ask your grown up to video you as you explain the instructions.

Extra Fun - Salad

Help prepare a salad. Chop and slice the foods you like carefully. Will you have lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, pepper, carrot, sweetcorn, beetroot and cheese? Take a photo of your salad before you eat it.
