Today’s Activities

Today begins with English activities, followed by Maths, P.E. and P.H.S.E.

GPS

Today we are going to be really getting to grips with using apostrophes for plural possession. You will watch a video, where a teacher called George will give you some tips and then you will have a go at the tasks. Please look at Wednesday GPS Activity to find the link for the video and the tasks. Remember that you can write your answers down on paper, there is no need to print out the questions unless you would prefer to.

Reading Activity

Purple Mash 2Do  Read Chapter 1 of ‘The Last Selkie’ and then answer Chp.1 Quiz questions.

Writing Activity

Don’t forget your daily 5-10 minutes of times tables practice, using either Purple Mash (Monster Multiplication 2Do), Times Tables Rockstar or Top Marks Hit the Button    Hit the Button - Quick fire maths practice for 5-11 year olds (topmarks.co.uk)

P.E.

This week we would like you to limber up and get practising for Team Theme’s Virtual Winter Sports Week. The main event will take place next week when you can compete at home and send us your times and scores. We will then submit your scores to Team Theme – you will be competing against Year 4 pupils from other schools around Kent and there are certificates to be won in each of the categories.

There are 7 events for you to take part in, click here to see each event demonstrated by some of our favourite Team Theme coaches:

Please note:

For this week’s PE we would like you to have a go at practising each event for 30 secondsThere is no need to record your scores this week, just refine your technique ready to record your scores next week.  Don’t forget to check the video link to see how to complete each event safely.

You have 30 seconds to complete as many reputations as you can, apart from the Ski Sit when you must just time how long you can hold the position!

Good luck and have fun!

P.H.S.E.

Last week you looked at how reflecting on a happy and positive experience can counteract disappointment. This week looks at how to make a new plan and set new goals even if I have been disappointed. Begin today’s lesson by looking at the PHSE Input and then completing the Cloud Template.

Have a great home learning  Wednesday.
