Watch the video of Mrs Leigh finding out about 1 more. Every time we add 1 more we need to count how many we have altogether. Remember the total is the last number we count.
Activity
While out and about on a walk can you collect some sticks or some pine cones? How many do you have each time you add 1 more?
Challenge
Can you write down the numbers each time you add 1 more?
Session 4-Topic - Why is it dark?
Talk to the children about why it is dark at night time. What do you know about night time? What animals might we see at night time? Who works through the night?
Activity
Make a den, using blankets and pegs. Maybe you can use a table, some chairs or a washing airer to help you. How dark can you make it in your den? What happens if you use a torch in your den?
