Sorry I didn’t have this story at home so please watch the following story here.  It is the story of Kippers Snowy day.  Discuss if your little one has ever experienced snow? What would they like to do in snow?

 

Make a spare sock snow man, instructions are attached to the Tapestry post.

 

Freeze some ice cubes. Allow your child to explore the ice cubes, you could mix in glitter or other small objects maybe even sweets and see if the children can find them. 

 

Ask what happens as they touch the ice.  Introduce the word Melt.  Are there any other circumstances you might use the word melt?

 

 

Have a go at this experiment, I know some of you have already done this but it is very fun!
