Session 1 - Phonics Mrs Holmes recaps digraphs ai and ee today. Join in and segment and blend words including the ai and ee digraphs. How many can we build and read today?
Session 2 – English Watch the video of Mrs Holmes. She has a picture of the character Lola. What do we already know about Lola? Are there any questions we would like to ask Lola? Write your questions using your phonics to help with your spellings. Remember the question mark at the end of your question.
Session 3 - Maths - Ordering numbers to 10 Watch the video of Mrs Leigh ordering the numerals 1 to 10 and help her to spot any mistakes.
Activity Print or write out the numerals 1 to 10. Order the numerals 1 to 10. Can you find something to represent each numeral?
Challenge Close your eyes and ask an adult to change something in your number line. Can you spot the mistake?
Session 4 - Topic Look at a selection of fruits and vegetables. How are they similar or different? Think about their colour, texture and smell. Can you sort the foods into fruits and vegetables? Fruits have seeds. Do you know how the fruits and vegetables grow? Do they grow underground or on top of the ground? Do they grow on a plant or tree?
Activity Choose 2 fruits or vegetables and describe how they are similar or different. Now look at fruits with seeds, cut open some fruits and look at the shape, size and colour of the seeds. Are there lots of seeds or just a few?
