Last week, we began to explore the journey that a river undertakes, from the source in the hills to the mouth at the coast. Today, you will make a 3D model of a drainage basin, by using the template provided (020321.year4.topic3dmodel) Before you do, read through 020321.year4.topic1. Once you have read the information, your first job will be to cut along the edge of the solid line (including the 'V' shape at the top) and then fold along the dotted lines. Once you have filled in the key vocabulary and coloured the rivers/fields/town, you need to stick the folded flap X to Y. This will create a 3D drainage basin, which will show the hills in the background and the rivers leading down to the sea. We’d love to see photos of your paper 3D models, so please upload to your portfolio.
Have a great home learning Tuesday.
